Registration for participation in “Russia – the Islamic World: KazanForum” has begun

<p> Registration of participants of the XV International Economic Forum “Russia – the Islamic World: KazanForum” has begun. The event will take place in the capital of the republic of Tatarstan on 14-19 May, 2024. </p> <p> The event will include traditional intergovernmental commissions with the countries of the Islamic world, a meeting of the Russia– Islamic World strategic vision group, an international forum of chambers of commerce and industry, an exhibition of the Halal industry, a Halal fair, a Muslim fashion festival and other activities. </p> <p> “The International Economic Forum of Russia and the OIC countries is a platform for dialogue for developing cooperation in trade, foreign direct investment, and discussion of issues of the Islamic financial system,”- Rustam Minnikhanov, Deputy Chairman of the Federal Organizing Committee of the forum, said earlier. </p> <p> For reference, in 2023, more than 16 thousand people from 80 CIS countries, the Middle East, Africa, South and Southeast Asia took part in the event. A record number of events were held at the forum – about 200, more than 130 agreements were signed. </p> <p> The International Economic Forum “Russia – the Islamic World: KazanForum” has been held in the capital of Tatarstan since 2009 and is a platform for strengthening trade, economic, scientific, technical, social and cultural ties between Russia and the countries of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation. By decree of the Russian President, the forum has received federal status since 2023. The organizing committee of the forum is headed by Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin. </p>
